What is Chronic Fatigue or CFIDS anyway?
CFIDS is a disease with
almost as many names as it has symptoms. Chronic Fatigue Immune
Dysfunction Syndrome, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, CFS, Myalgic
Encephalomyelitis, ME, Gulf War Syndrome, Post Viral Fatigue Syndrome,
Icelandic disease, Royal Free Disease, Yuppie Flu, "It's all in your
head", and so on and on they go.
After reading a book written by Don Scott -
The
Extremely Unfortunate Skull Valley Incident
(It's already out of
print, but you may still
order it from here
at
Radio
Liberty while
they still have some copies left in stock.)
I realized an absolutely correct name for CFIDS
would be Chronic New
Variant Brucellosis Infection
A Google on
Chronic
Brucellosis (
Infection)
is very informative. Brucellosis is an age old bacterial disease,
various kinds of which have been carried back and forth between various
livestock (Bangs Disease, Brucella Abortus or Brucella Melitensis in
cattle, Brucella Suis in pigs etc.) and humans for thousands of years.
The many symptoms of Brucellosis are very much like the many symptoms
of Mononucleosis. No energy, everything hurts, that wonderful brain
dead feeling, etc., etc..
New and Improved! This New Varient (of) Brucellosis that Don Scott
talks about is a new germ made up of part of one kind of an old germ,
Brucellosis. Put inside of another kind of an old germ, Mycoplasma. It
actually consists of just the damaging parts of a normal Brucellosis
bacteria's DNA code, separated out, that is now contained within
another type of intracellular organism called a Mycoplasma. The
important parts of one bacteria germ carried inside of another kind of
germ.
Mycoplasma is a type of very tiny (virus size) nearly shapeless
(pleomorphic) slime bacteria that does not have it's own cell walls. It
acts like a bacteria and it also acts like a fungus too. Myco- for
fungus like. Tuberculosis and Leprosy are some examples of other
pathogenic (disease causing) mycoplasma. Here is link to a patent for a
certain pathogenic mycoplasma
Mycoplasma
Fermentans Incognitus by a Dr. Shyh-Ching Lo, implicated in
Gulf
War Syndrome by the eminent microbiologist
Professor Garth
Nicholson.
So the DNA code of the Brucellosis germ is carried by a Mycoplasma germ
and is then injected into your cells by the Mycoplasma. What happens
then is that you end up with all the symptoms of Brucellosis without
actually having a detectable Brucellosis infection. (Brucellosis all by
itself is already difficult enough to find. Without having only part of
it been carried in by another type stealth infection) What you end up
with is a Mycoplasma infection that contains the disease causing DNA
from Brucellosis bacteria.
Thankfully this evil mish-mash of an infection is still suceptible to
the same standard treatments that work for a regular garden variety
Brucellosis infection. Antibiotics like good old cheap doxycycline work
great. The trouble is that it takes a very long time for treatment. The
longer you have been sick, the longer the treatment. 1-2 years of six
weeks on, two weeks off, is what Professor Nicholson recommends. It's
been over a year now for me. It took me months to be able to work up to
a full dose of doxycycline and now I am still working on being able to
be off of it for a whole two weeks at a time.
This infection can penetrate nearly every cell in your body and robs
them all of the energy they need to function, live themselves and keep
you alive. Among other things, it interferes with the primary ATP
cellular metabolic energy production in your cells mitochondria. Those
are what Professor Nicholson calls the "batteries" inside your cells.
The Mycoplasma punches little holes in the cell walls and mitochondria
membranes made out of Phospholipids or Essential Fatty Acids. All the
tiny holes in the electrical insulation of your cell walls literally
short circuit them out. Like a dead battery full of holes that can no
longer hold a charge. Replacing your Essential Fatty Acids helps repair
the insulation on the cells batteries and thereby helps restore your
normal cells functions.
The infection in all of your cells adversely affects every organ in
your body and especially the functions that take the most energy; like
your brain, liver, heart, lungs, kidneys, pancreas, and most
importantly in the long run, your immune system itself. It is important
to feed your immune system and also feed whatever organs are the
weakest at the moment, (the ones showing symptoms) with the particular
vitamins, minerals, oils, herbs, enzymes, foods that they thrive on to
help repair the organ damage.
This is my current regemin that I am experimenting with for Lipid
Replacement Therapy as a very important part of my own recovery from
CFIDS.
I. Essential Fatty Acids
Omega 3 Fish Oil
PhosphatidylSerine
Cod Liver Oil
CLA (Conjugated Linolenic Acid)
II. (Advanced) Antioxidants
CoQ10 (CoEnzyme Q10)
SAM-e (S-adenosylmethionine)
TMG
(TriMethylGlycine, similar to Betain Hydrochloride)
R-ALA (R-Alpha Lipoic Acid)
Methyl B12 (Methylcobalamin)
Once I have begun to halt
the disease process of CFIDS with Doxycycline antibiotic, I then begin
to reverse the damage left behind from the Mycoplasma Infection that
causes the CFIDS with advanced nutritional strategies like Lipid
Replacement Therapy. This is an important part of my own personal
version of implementing the the
recommendations
of Professor Garth Nicholson for the treatment of CFIDS.
Grace!
